In addition to its ability to deliver accurate range measurements out to 1.37 miles, Newcon Optik's LRM-2200SI Laser Range Finder Monocular gives you access to a deep pool of additional targeting information, including speed, compass direction and elevation (inclinometer) data.
If you’re a hunter that’s looking for data to plug into your bullet drop tables, the inclinometer information will be of particular interest to you. From the LRM-2200SI’s on-screen display you’ll be able to read off angle of sight measurements either as degrees elevation or target height up to 80° off horizontal to an accuracy of 1°. Using this data you can compensate for shot angle to achieve consistent zeroes at any range, virtually eliminating high shots.
The LRM-2200SI's gated distance exclusion mode lets you exclude targets that are closer than a pre-set distance. You'll find this useful when you’re targeting objects through bushes or wires, objects that might otherwise generate false readings.
The LRM-2200SI also provides accurate compass readings, valuable for data collection purposes, and a speed measurement function that accurate to 1-mph up to 249-mph. Additional features include selectable units of measure (yards or meters), a target quality indicator, a low battery warning and the ability to instantly recall the last 10 range measurements.
